Our bikes

Our bicycles are high quality bikes from the German brands Kalkhoff and Bergamont. These bicycles are perfect for a day around the city and will even get you to the Sagrada Familia or even Park Güell or Camp Nou without any problem. We offer quality city bikes and extra comfort bicycles, and we also have different bikes for kids of all ages, child seats, and a carrier cycle (Dutch ‘bakfiets’) among others.

Our prices can be found in the sidebar or scroll further down. We ask for a €50 deposit fee per bicycle, or €150 per booking. We offer discounts for clients who want to keep the bicycles after they have done a private bicycle tour with us.

Are you considering renting a bicycle? We recommend you, particularly in peak season and during school holidays, to reserve before hand. Because we are a small scale business (by choice), we have a limited bicycle supply. 

Tour with a private guide (also in English)

El Ciclo also offers bike tours led by a personal guide. Our tour guides are locals, and they will take you to the well hidden sights, off the beaten track, to the charming sights you might not had discovered on your own. Our tour guides speak Dutch and English, but we also offer tours in different languages.

Barcelona by bicycle

Over the last years Barcelona has become a bicycle friendly city with a well planned network of bike lanes and bicycle safe streets. Every year new bike lanes are added and nowadays you will definitely not be the only one cycling in Barcelona. The mild climate with many hours of sunshine and warm winters, makes the Catalan capital a perfect city to explore by bike.

Important information

Keep in mind that it’s very important to always lock your bicycle, and that you should never leave you bicycle anywhere unlocked. El Ciclo provides you with 2 locks per bicycle. Make sure you use them! Besides that, it is forbidden to lock your bike to anything else but designated bicycle parkings. If you do so, the city will confiscate the bicycle. Therefore, always lock your bicycle to a bicycle parking spot.
