About El Ciclo
El Ciclo is a small scale and original bike rental shop situated in an authentic century-old building in the centre of Barcelona. Owner Ramiro Sobral is a true bicycle lover who after years of cycling around in different places and fixing old bikes as a hobby decided to open his own bicicletería in the gothic quarter of Barcelona.
His shop is the right place if you want to rent a bike and El Ciclo also offers city bike tours and bamboo bike tours with a private guide. All guides are locals that live in Barcelona and take you to the highlights as well as the hidden places off the beaten track.
Furthermore, in his workplace (his second home) Ramiro transforms old bicycle parts into amazing lamps and other bike art pieces. Part of his collection is for sale in the shop. In 2014 he won the Emerging Artist Award within the Residu’Art Awards 2014 of the Drap-Art Festival 2014.
